Thermal recording sheet

Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a color-forming sensitivity and a stability in a coloring part, by incorporating a sulfur-containing dibasic ester as a sensitizer in a thermal recording sheet bringing a color-forming lactone compound into a thermal color-forming reaction with an acid substance. CONSTITUTION: A thermal recording sheet is obtained by a method in which a coating liquid obtained by dispersing a color-forming lactone compound such as 3,3-bis(p-dimethylaminophenyl)phthalide, an acid substance such as bisphenol A, and a sulfur-containing dibasic ester shown by a general formula I (in the formula, (n) represents an integer 1W3, (m) represents an integer 1 or 2, and R 1 , R 2 represent 1W20 C alkyl and the like) in a water is applied to a sheet substrate such as a paper. In this manner, the thermal recording sheet has a remarkably high color-forming sensitivity and also a superior stability in coloring and non-coloring parts. COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
